Each day Holy Spirit students begin their day with a school-wide assembly in the gym. Morning assembly begins with readings from the Gospel, done by students in grades 1-8, prayer, recital of the Peace Builders Pledge and the Pledge of Allegiance and a song led by the school's music teacher.

Members of student council facilitate the morning assembly and students make announcements for upcoming school activities, including sports events. Mr. "B" personally greets students with his special "Coyote Welcome" and encourages them to consider the Gospel readings more closely, challenging the students to live the Gospels in their daily lives. The students then head off for their day at school.
