Holy Spirit School is a Catholic school educating children from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. Established in September 2000, we are proud to be accredited by the WCEA (Western Catholic Educational Association) and the WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges.) Every 6 years, we are re-accredited. All of our teachers possess or are pursuing teaching credentials and many have advanced degrees.
Holy Spirit School is one of the Diocese of San Jose’s (DSJ) Department of Education schools. The DSJ is under the direction of Superintendent Kathy Almazol and Asst. Superintendent Nancy Doyle. Holy Spirit School is also one the eight school participating in the St. Katharine Drexel School Initiative within the DSJ. The St. Katharine Drexel School Initiative is the Diocese of San Jose’s response to the need to recommit to and bolster the levels of student academic success and to harness technology to improve student learning. A key component of the Initiative is the blended learning model, which will be implemented in our K-8 classrooms.
Holy Spirit School is led by Co-Principals Peggy Krewson and Bob Graves and Asst. Principal Colette O’Bannion. The school administration works closely in partnership with Fr. Brendan McGuire, Fr. Angelo David, Penny Warne, Merry Reardon and the rest of the staff at Holy Spirit Parish to build a strong community for our students, parents, teachers and staff to thrive academically and spiritually.
