Holy Spirit School provides a comprehensive curriculum which fulfills the school's mission statement, philosophy and student learning expectations. We utilize the diocesan religion outcomes and state standards to drive the curriculum. The curriculum includes religion, language arts, math, science, social studies, computers, Spanish, music, art and physical education. Students are challenged in the classroom through activities requiring high order thinking skills, cooperative learning groups and problem solving strategies. Advanced math classes are provided for those students in the middle school who meet the designated requirements. Reading intervention is provided for those students in grades one through three who need additional help, as identified by teachers and Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) results.
