Community Outreach Projects

To educate the complete child, Holy Spirit School encourages student and family participation in our Community Outreach Projects (COP's). With close alignment with Holy Spirit Church we as a community learn how to help those that are less fortunate.

Holy Spirit School students do a walk-a-thon for foreign missions, and a Halloween carnival fundraiser for Family Supportive Housing. In conjunction with Holy Spirit Church we also participate in a Layette drive, Advent Angels and an annual giving drive during the Lent season, such as Operation Rice Bowl, targeted at raising money for those in need of food in lesser developed countries.

Some other programs we have supported are a Thanksgiving food collection for Saint Julie's Pantry, Sweet Dreams Drive and Open Your Hearts both of which benefitted the San Jose Emergency Housing Consortium, Make a Sacrifice - Make a Wish for the Make A Wish Foundation and school supplies for students in Jonestown, Mississippi.

"I am thrilled that Holy Spirit School teaches my child a greater appreciation of all those that are less fortunate than they. Students learn that it is not just about giving money to an organization, but to donate their time and talents as well. Holy Spirit School's committment to including this as part of my child's education is priceless."
