Outdoor Education

Science Camp

Every Spring, our sixth grade class goes on a four-day science field trip. The Web of Life Field School provides environmental education programs as well as life skills development. The students explore environments in the coastal redwoods as well as the surrounding beach area. One Holy Spirit student recalled her experience and said, "Science Camp was a lot of fun. It was great to be near the beach so we could study that environment and the redwood environment too. We also learned how not to be so wasteful."

8th Grade Trip to Camp Tuolumne Trails

Each 8th grade class takes a trip that the students look forward to for years. On chartered buses bound for camp in the Sierra foothills, 8th graders look forward to a four nights, five days stay that includes a trip to Yosemite Valley. During the week our students enjoy numerous planned outdoor activites that teach critical thinking skills, problem solving, team building and self awareness. Upon returning from the 8th grade trip, one student said, " This trip was a great opportunity for the entire class to bond, and, it was the best time I had in my life!"
