Extended Care Information

FOR STUDENTS IN KINDERGARTEN – 8TH GRADE ONLY

The Holy Spirit School Extended Care services are available to all students enrolled at the school in grades K-8. Space is limited and priority will be given to families using the monthly rate.

Hours: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on days that school is in session and on scheduled teacher in-services, with the following exceptions:

• Extended Care will close early (5:00 p.m.) the day before Thanksgiving.
• There will be no afternoon extended care on the day before Christmas vacation.
• There will be no extended care (morning or afternoon) on the last day of school.

Before and after school staff supervision is provided beginning at 7:45 a.m. until 15 minutes following afternoon dismissal. Any student on campus before 7:45 a.m. or beyond the 15 minute dismissal period must be checked into Extended Care.

Snacks: A snack and drink is provided each day for all children checked into Extended Care. On 12:30 dismissal days all students need to bring a lunch. There is no hot lunch available.

Fees: Annual registration fee: $25 per family. Parents are required to choose the plan that they will use. Once any plan is chosen, there must be a qualifying event (e.g., no longer working and will change to hourly, or begin working and need to use the monthly plan.) There is a $25 fee for this change, and there can only be one change in a school year. Under no circumstances can changes be made before November 1 or after March 1.

Monthly Rate:
Kindergarten through grade 8: $260 per child per month for 9 months. All monthly rates are billed at the beginning of each month, September-May. Families choosing this plan must remain on it for the entire school year in order to get August and June free. If you change from monthly to hourly, there is a $25 fee.

Hourly Rates:
All grades $6 per hour per child. All hourly rates are billed at the end of each month. June bills will be mailed out and need to be paid by June 20th.

Late fees: A late fee of $15 will be applied to the account per child (if not paid in full before 3:30 p.m. in daycare on the 20th of the month). All accounts must be kept current. End of the year activities may be forfeited in the case of delinquent accounts.
