Pasta Market Welcome Letter
Dear Holy Spirit School Community:
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support this past year and welcome you back for the 2021-22 school year. For those that are new and as a refresher, our program is set up as follows:
At the beginning of the school year, parents will be asked to pre-pay a certain dollar amount which will allow the student to purchase their daily lunch. Each student will be issued their own personalized account. The amount that you pre-pay will depend entirely on how many days you believe your child will participate throughout the period. Suggested initial amounts are between $75-$150. The daily price of a complete meal will be $6.50 with an extra entrée costing an additional $1.50.
Complete meals include a choice of 1 hot entrée or entrée salad, fruit, side dish and water, milk, chocolate milk or 100% juices.
You will only be charged for what your child actually purchases. A menu containing the daily meal choices will be posted in the Parent Portal on the HSS website once a month. It is important to realize that your child is not locked into any particular pre-determined meal choice. If your child is absent or chooses not to purchase lunch that day there is no charge. We strongly encourage that all parents pre-pay a certain dollar amount at the beginning of the program even if they choose not to participate in daily hot lunch purchases. This is in case your child would like to purchase a beverage in addition to their own lunch, or forgets their lunch one day.
We will not be accepting any money at hot lunch, so it is extremely important that your child has some sort of credit balance on their account for lunch and/or incidental purchases.
IMPORTANT CHANGES WHEN DEPOSITING/PRE-PAYING FUNDS:
We will no longer accept checks or cash for PRE-PAY accounts at the School (THERE WILL NO LONGER BE AN ENVELOPE/DROP BOX AT THE SCHOOL). Deposits/funds MUST be paid using our NEW online service. With this new system you will login and make your payments electronically.
You will receive a statement (via e-mail only) from us on a monthly basis informing you of your child’s balance. When you receive your monthly statement it is meant to be used as a guide for you to monitor what your child is spending per day. This will give you the opportunity to recharge the account for an additional period.
PASTA MARKET IS A PRE-PAY PROGRAM. IF YOUR ACCOUNT BECOMES DELINQUENT YOU WILL HAVE A ONE WEEK GRACE PERIOD TO FUND YOUR ACCOUNT.
